Aquarius rules groups and with the moon, sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, it’s quite a gathering! What should we do with all this activity in the sign of the innovator? Get innovating! For us mere mortals this new moon is part of a series of 6 (3 last year, 3 this year) New Moons at 23º, telling us to be open to change because that’s all that there is ahead. In Capricorn season, ruler of career and status, it’s a chance to plan for a new career or connection. Some important questions to ask yourself are : How do you want to move forward, and who do you want coming along with you?

The eclipse is connected to the lunar eclipse we had on Dec 1st in Gemini, and the midpoint of a three-cycle eclipse that hits Gemini and Sagittarius until December of next year. Again, Gemini is how we learn and communication, while Sagittarius is higher learning and how we share it. With the solar eclipse in Sagittarius it’s the “Hero’s journey” or call to adventure….

As Saturn continues to retrograde in Capricorn (work and status quo) and oppose our Cancer moon (emotions and security), it pulled us back into our old ways or the “things that were.” Now we’ve come to the end of all things (well maybe not all things, but it feels like it!) as the moon hits 28° of Cancer, giving us a clearer view of what must end—and instead of looking back, we must move on.
